Reasons for Hope
So now begins 6 months of boredom. As a Seahawk fan, I’m disappointed, but excited at the same time.

Qwest Field has a reputation as the toughest place in the NFL for visiting teams to play. Opponents have more false starts there than in any other stadium since the start of the 2005 season.
“It is a really, really tough to play in this stadium,” Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer said. “I always thought that Arrowhead was the toughest, but this place might be as tough as any I have been in. The sound just cascades down from the second level.”

Wow, how the mighty have fallen. We’re now staring a 9-7 (or worse, 8-8) record in the face. If the boys don’t step it up, it’s going to be a major disappointment this year (as if it hasn’t been already).

OK. I’m finally out of my funk from us being swept by the 49′ers this year. It’s taken me a few days, but I’m finally out of it.
We’re now down to a two game season. All I’m asking for is for the Seahawks to go 1 and 1. That will 1) put us in the playoffs, and 2) give us a winning record. Then I can stop hearing people talk about the Super Bowl loser’s curse. We’ll still have to hear about the Madden and Chunky Soup curses, but I can deal with that.
